I echo the sentiment- I was lucky enough to spend two years living in rural Haute-Savoie, and whilst we're happy back in the UK, there are aspects of rural French life I deeply miss. Your photos are a nice little fix of those memories!

Same field and the same date as last year. 35c yesterday one way of testing the cooling on the tractors and the aircon. Hay finished for this year

yep.
Plus half didn’t come out on their own so I said he had to follow around.
It seemed a big rush as it had turned black. Not rained yet

a couple have just opened a bar in our nearest village. A three story ex butchers shop, not derelict by any means.
They paid 18k for it

houses between the TGV, main autoroute and massive wind farms are almost free; as above
