Pig needs a home

A neighbor has a kune kune cross (I think).
It is a boar and was kept as part of a breeding pair in their garden.

They rehomed the sow but are stuck with the boar. It is not in the best conditions and could use some company and more space/suitable space.

Can anybody help? Free to a good home and possibly reasonable costs covered for transport.

We don't like to keep seeing it stuck in a tiny pen with nowhere to get dry, it's feet must be rotten!

I know pigs like to wallow but I think this is too much.

I could find a space for it in the immediate short term but don't want to be left with it long term.

It's located near Portsmouth

It’s definitely an entire crossbreed is it?
Can't say for certain. It could be a pure kunekune I suppose.......It's the closest I've really come to a living pig as an adult (terrible I know for somone who was raised on a farm).

It has definitely bred at least three times with the sow it was with as I've rounded up the piglets each time.

A mate of mine isn’t too far from you and has 3 Kunes that he had from me. He wouldn’t want a boar but might have it if it was castrated.
Alternatively, they taste pretty good (though yours might have a bit of boar taint). I was eating sausages from 1 of ours when I first saw your thread. 🐷

Agreed.

Have tried rescue places. Suspect we are going to end up with it. I have no knowledge of pigs or real interest but can't continue to see it suffering.
If it's suffering, either take it on (and get it made into sausages), or report them. Neglecting an animal is a crime, as well as being morally wrong.

Having an animal made into sausages is neither of those things.

Report to the RSPCA. These people are the professionals and will know what to do and how to do it. Mostly they are tactful. But sometimes stronger measures are needed. Isn't standing back and allowing cruelty to continue a crime these days? I think so and rightly so.
