Pit silage

Surplus silage is something that sells well only in one winter in three roughly. Every farm in the country will have a surplus for a couple of years and you can't give it away. Then you get a poor summer followed by a long cold winter and surplus silage is as rare as hen's teeth.
I don't worry if we end up with a surplus of round bale silage. I just put a bit more wrap on and use it first the following year. I reckon one day I will come up short and be glad of it.

You take them out of the stack and wrap them then restack? Is that necessary? What about the misshaped ones in the bottom layer?
