I don't worry if we end up with a surplus of round bale silage. I just put a bit more wrap on and use it first the following year. I reckon one day I will come up short and be glad of it.Surplus silage is something that sells well only in one winter in three roughly. Every farm in the country will have a surplus for a couple of years and you can't give it away. Then you get a poor summer followed by a long cold winter and surplus silage is as rare as hen's teeth.
