Plague of pollen beetles

Just tried to walk in our tunnel of raspberries and had to come out there must millions of pollen beetles in there so much you can hear them

never seen this before is it just the weather or am I doomed

Are you sure they aren't flea beetles from some near by OSR.

yes I walked past a bramble bush after combining a field of OSR and it was alive

You're really going to need a magnifying glass to tell the difference in the field but as a rough guide, CSFB has the oily iridescence and will jump. Probably winged at this time of year too, as above.

Look like pollen beetles to me - might nibble raspberry flower parts to get at pollen but seldom cause serious loss of crop.
