Exactly whats in my head but will it work ?

I think wire 2, / 3 mm , two runs prob 150 m each , bends , so i thought put tensioner in the middle, strainer post already there.
So guess i need 8 .
The two strands was installed as a sacrificial about 6 ft off my otter fence, because i know what the guy on tractor can b like , and as both strands are now on the floor i was right.
So want to put abit of tension on ,and be able to re adjust / mend next time he wacks it with plough or whatever.

Gripples will be the cheapest choice, but they won't often cope with repeated re tensioning, gallagher wheel tighteners are the best thing i've ever used for plain wire, but ideally you need there dedicated tensioning tool to get a good tension on them

Another way of doing it is to drill a hole through the post, thread the wire through and put the tensioner on the other side so it pulls against the post.

That is what we use on all our fences, but we use barbed wire. Really useful.
