Plans announced today for UK’s first food provenance centre

The UK will be getting its first national centre dedicated to improving transparency in the food and drink supply chain.

Farmer-led food provenance group, Happerley England, has today (12 July) announced the plan to deliver increased transparency from farm-to-fork by publicising plans to build a dedicated food and drink centre.

Very good.
But would just point out that by shopping at farmers markets and farm shops we can already do this. Without the food miles or packaging, but with a fair return to producers.
It's clever technology but it wont address the fundamental issue at play: market share.
