Right so after a bigger plasma.

I have a Hyperterm powermax 30 which has aways been a perennial disappointment. I should have gone for the 45 when I bought it 10yrs ago but I thought the 30 would be good for farm work and it’s not.

I don’t really want to spend 2k on the 45 so any other good and cheaper makes people have?

How much work do you use it for, I have an Rtech 50 on my cnc and although Ive not had it long its done a fair bit of cutting and before I bought it I spoke to a few people who had them a while.

I do a fair bit but not crazy, i like to get decent stuff but the next hypertherm up is just too much for what i do.

Thanks i will have a look at the rtech, what can it comfortably cut?

It's supposed to cut 18mm cleanly. Not a hope with my Rtech 50. Very disappointed to be honest. It will cut new 12mm steel cleanly but much more and it won't burn right through in one go. Installed a new 32 amp circuit specifically for the cutter, but I'm wondering now if I'm losing power over the distance of the cable?

If you sold the 30 on the bay you might only have to spend one an a bit k on a 45.

Purchased a jassic 45 before Christmas.
Good spec, long guarantee and good price.
Surprises me ( in a good way) every time I use it.
Very impressive. Haven’t done more than 15 mm as no need to yet.

Stay with the hypertherm sell the 30 buy the 45xp
I’ve cut 25mm plate clean with my 45xp The torches are so much better and the consumables last way longer
The hypertherm does what it says it does and more
I fluted around looking at all the different options before bit the bullet and got the 45xp
It’s a no brainier to me anyway they’re torch technology and research is so far ahead of the rest
I definitely wouldn’t hesitate if I had to go a second time
This is 25mm plate I cut recently
As cut
