Plastic or Steel fuel station

looking for a replacement about 12,500 litres, proves don't seem far apart.

Steel will sweat more and this give condensation but if it gets drilled, it can be fixed.

Also easier to relocate if required (once empty)

Anyone any thoughts or Good suppliers?

We need to be able to add additives which can be hard with some designs

Had a plastic tank split at the top at only a few years old, luckily not a problem but I'd never have another one.

I think most people who have had a plastic tank would say they’d never have another.

Never heard a man with a steel tank say that.

Put a good filter on the outlet and condensation isn’t the issue they make out.

In fact, surely a steel tank and plastic tank both have same amount of air so both have potential to condense the same amount.

Remember always being told you should fill tractor at end of day to reduce chance of condensation. Doubt it really makes enough difference to worry about though.

And most tractor tanks are plastic so your theory is right, just the heat would multiply it!

6000 steel just arrived from uk bunded tanks, looks like it will do the job, not sited it yet though. My main criteria apart from steel and price was to have a proper hinged door for easy access and make getting the hose in and out as easy as possible. Some have a little hatch which really isn't big enough imo, cheaper though.
