Has anyone got any information on these inverters?
any UK agents?
we have had 2 knocked out over Christmas and all we know is that, they are not live. The inverters have a panel which is blank.
we are aware they are German built but have had no joy in the past making any sense communicating with them, sadly I do not speak any German and they obviously have no English speakers.
i expect the problem could be resolved with a new board but have no way of sorting it easily

if the panel is blank it might be in sleep mode, where there is no incoming DC voltage they go in to sleep mode, check the voltage from the panels on the strings at the rotary isolator, if that is ok there might be an internal fuse for the strings. kacao inverters have internal fuses. "beware" you are dealing with potentially high DC voltages.

Thanks for this, we did hope with the prevailing conditions it may be this, but I suspect I am clutching at straws.
we know we had a power surge, second in three months which has blown a board on a Fronius inverter on the same site. It also took out a trip.
No idea for contacts at Platinum?

one of our customers had a lightening strike on the pole with the incoming transformer on, the high voltage shot right through his farm and took out quite a number of things electrical. two inverters and an export limiter as well as lots of other items.

Well we have been lucky, after a bit of sunshine we discover the Platinum inverters are actually working, but the screens are still blank.
I have now found that Renugen in Aylesbury are the UK distributor so hopefully we shall make a bit of progress.
Why do things always break down at this awkward time of year, thankfully with short overcast days , we are not losing much generation

It's possible if you get the cover off that there will be a small fuse somewhere for the display power supply.
