Poly Bushes... Making your own?

Anyone made your own Bushes from Polyurethane?

Few Bits and Bobs I Shift made of rubber , engine mount bushings etc... Led me to looking at polyurethane on Youtube.

Different hardness colours etc... easy enough

What would be best to cast it in?..

All sorts on youtube but a lot of it ends up looking like a primary school cooking session.

not made but bought them for link arms and fitted them, when i did fit them i was of the opinion they wouldnt take the same degree of abuse or should i say forgiveness for the rest of the running train so im waiting to see what failure has now been kicked down the line so to speak.

as youve discovered, its a can of worms.
ive never machined it but first impressions of trying to do so would be akin to trying to drill a hole in jelly.
once your into plastics its a mine field. so many flavors its so hard to know, more than likely its a case of trial and error but as for pointing you in the right direction im lost im afraid.
