Polycarbonate roofing

What sort of lifespan do you experts reckon a quality polycarbonate roof should have? It’s on a cattery building (UPVC), and is failing after 6 years, which I don’t think is good enough. Thanks for any replies

polycarbonate is not the same as pvc its a different plastic.

clear GRP sheets are the best for strength /longevity , might need a wash after a few yrs and more exspensive thats all.

It comes to preference at the end of the day. For example, in my indoor arena at home, I would change my rooflights which are GRP to Heatguard 50 because it allows more light to come through. BUT you are right, it does come down to cost as well
