Recommendations for poly posts please. I've always liked the Rutland economy ones, they are nice and stiff and strong and good price. However they have changed the design /supplier and are now poor. So looking for a different brand. Use them mainly for 3 strand sheep fencing. Thanks

Kiwikit ones are IMO brilliant, I've been using them for maybe 5 yrs and not broken one yet.
Worth the money

Have a few other brands here and one big name in particular has been completely shite.

Gallagher ones, last for yonks, even in acid soils and strong UV; half of mine were my Dad's and only just beginning to get brittle/weak in the peg now at 20-25 years of age

I also bought some of the new design. I have complained, and they are taking them back.

Following this thread with interest, I bought some of the new type last summer and they are shocking! Haven’t used them much yet but end up p’d off every time I move them. How much are the other brands costing? Think I paid 80p/ post for older Rutland type.

Struggle to find any that cheap these days.
I've had 80 of these from ukcountrystore
Seem sound. Only criticism would be whether the slot is a bit wide and the wire will come out too easy. Ok so far though.

What problems have others had, with the new Rutland? The wind blows the wire out of mine, and some have curved or broken.
I get that with the blue £2 posts which are now £3+ so my merchant won’t stock them.
I bought some of the green economy ones and find them brilliant. Peg is the right side not like the blue ones and they unclip easily when using the atv winder. £1 each the green ones were ?? Unless they don’t last this season I’ll definitely buy more.

Presume you can get a vat receipt with that?
If so got to buy several to get it under a £.
Which is fine.
But I'm not very keen on the rutland ones personally.

Dunno about vat. I’m not keen either, but at less that £1 each I’d soon learn to love them, especially if used for semi perm fences. I’d keep all my Rappa gear for quick shift stuff then.

Well they're only less than a £ if you can get the vat back.
Those I linked are only just over £1 ex vat, and haven't tried for bulk discount (bought mine in 2 lots of 40)
When I find which sheep are eating fence stakes, they're on a 1 way trip. I seem to be forever buying more.

Yeah I’m not entirely sure where all mine have gone either...

Anyone bought from this guy on ebay? Electricfence7 - I’m guessing their rutlands ? 2000 posts are £1150?
I've got several of those posts.
Not rutland I don't think. They've lasted well - bought them probably 15-20 years ago. Not over keen on the design but that's a tempting price. Especially if there's vat to come off that.
