OK, now this is a bit of a brain-wave which I would like to run past you folks to see what you reckon.

So the combine is raring to go, got a decent cab to keep the dust out and a fan to blow the warm air around, but no A/C.

So what I was thinking was, could something be adapted or evolved from a portable 12v freezers like they have in caravans, such as take the lid off and fix it up....somehow. Do you catch my drift?

now tell me i am bonkers :):):):):)

The early North American Massey combine cabs had a system whereby an atomiser spray sprayed a fine mist of water into the air coming out of the blower. You had to fill up a five gallon can of water. It worked on the principle of the latent heat of vaporisation, and although not as good as proper air con it did cool you down.
I would think that it would be pretty easy to rig up a sprayer nozzle and a caravan water pump ad give it a go. You might get a free hair wash in the bargain!
The caravan air con units are 240 volts, you won't get much cooling on 12.
I suppose you could have one of those portable air con units that they have in offices, and strap a generator onto the combine.....!

Guessing these work on the same principle?

I sure I did once see 12volt aircon kit once?

Scrap yard find a old fridge van and strip the chiller unit off it? Bit more of a winter project though!

I have one laid in the workshop it's a Hygloo unit of a excavator I sold a few years back, think it's one of those from great explorations, it's 12v and draws about 55 amp i think
