Portable All Constellations Triple-Frequency RTK Receiver/Base for $1899

Hi Dmitriy

A suggestion here, but what would be really useful for the agri precision farming market (and probably survey too) was if Emlid released a simple external LoRa radio that had an RS232 serial port interface.

Basically the style of thing would be the equivalent of a Satel / ArWest / PacCrest 400 MHz radios that we use on machinery to receive corrections from a local RTK base - either portable like yours - or a fixed base blasting out corrections on UHF.

....except it would be using LoRa as the protocol instead of the usual protocols above.

What do you think?

Hey, sorry for the delayed response.

Such radio indeed will make integration with 3rd-party RTK GNSS receivers much easier. We will definitely consider working on this in the future, thanks for the suggestion!

No worries. Self interest at heart.

I would be so bold as to argue if a LoRA radio based solution can equal or better/range vs low power 450 MHz class UHF radio - you will literally kill the market...

At least in Agriculture and Survey where we are charged upwards of £1000 for a UHF radio and £6000 for a portable RTK base.

It becomes a no brainer to go for an RS2 base solution if starting from scratch.

Should be fairly straightforward for your TeeJet UniPilot setup.

- Connect an RS2 receiver via a serial cable
- Setup the NMEA output from the RS2 to match what's needed by the UniPilot. See manual

Do you plan to get RTK correction from a second RS2 (setup as a base) or will you use an NTRIP provider or other?
