In a competition to decide ''which profession provides the biggest gossips?'', farming would be a chief contender.

Second possibly to fish gutters as they wended their way from Peterheed down the coast to Yarmouth. Stopping only for fish and chips in Whitby.

In case you hadn"t noticed,it actually happened so not gossip.How much it gets exaggerated will be down to the Gossip mongers! :whistle:
