Looking at peoples thoughts on a post banger on jcb.? Got a jcb 310s and wondering if it’s any use having a post banger on front rather than a tractor.? Also have a js130 and in time that will have an adapter plate so could be used aswel. Just looking for thoughts and opinions please. [emoji1417]

If it's a standard knocker that's at the side it'll be good but if it's one that's in the middle not so much

I mowed a field once that had been fenced with a knocker that was in the middle of the machine and they fairly rutted the headland driving into every one of the stobs

I just bought a Postpuncher for our Manitou. Nice and compact, does what I want(mostly electric), can fence single handedly. I got it second hand, little to go wrong, will upgrade with a ram from Postpuncher in due course.

we ve got a big concrete pecker on an hitichi ex60 which came off a 16t machine, which we made a head for barbed wire stakes and gate posts, it is so much better than a basher as its easier on the posts with less shock loading, you can also drive posts into a hedge at an angle for barbed wire and the posts are then out off the way for plough landwheels and the like. Also use it for compacting recycled concrete, blocks bricks etc from builders and hauliers, lumps are no issue, , break them up bash them down and concrete on top of. head is pressed on as you cant weld to the spike, did take 3 attempts though, but its awesome , love it to bits, had it for ten years now:happy::happy:

Heres our old Parimeter on its trial run after fitting the brackets.
We have 3 point linkage and narrow JCB on there.
Leave the Loadall on constant flow and use the spool block on the machine, that old one has sideshift and mast tilt too,
Old man thinks its great not having to twist his neck round, even though its the man on the ground thats actually using it.

We have ours plugged in to the third service on the boom of the JCB and it works but I think it doesn't drop so freely as when its on the tractor. Not sure if its the JCB valves/oil flow/connections, or its just the long run of pipe back to the tank on the handler thats the restriction. Ours is a pretty small post banger so I don't know how others would get on, a big return to the tank maybe?

Its much nicer to use on the JCB for sure.
