a lot of people have had covid, without realising it, mrs an l tested +ve, with virtually no side effects, of anything.
But we know of several formerly active people, who 2yrs after catching it, are still suffering quite debilitating symptoms.
As there are theories that it was a Chinese manufactured disease, which escaped from a laboratory, and seeing the very strict measures undertaken, by the Chinese authorities, i'm not sure the longer term effects, have yet to be seen. Victims, still having problems, after 2 + yrs, could give some indication, that the longer term, may show up more problems.
Lets just hope, that's not the case.

The effects upon people who had Covid are indicative of them being victims of Altitude sickness or Decompression illness. There is a website; decompression sickness/Wikipaedia, that explains some of the manifestations of DCS at and above sea-level. (Ignore the deep-water diving stuff).
Farmers and their staff are normally able to get clean air into their lungs and remain as being fairly healthy. However, not all farms are at sea-level and some are situate at undesirable elevations above sea-level where oxygen in air is long known to be less.
The above brings me to say that some of the folk who complain of daytime tiredness may not be getting enough oxygen in their blood to power their full day on the farm. There is an epidemic known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) that had been in progress long before the outbreak of Covid. If one is subjected to an abnormally-low barometric pressure system passing overhead during sleep they he or she will suffer nocturnal hypoxia and awake in the morning just as tired as they had been the evening before.

How's your recovery @Farmer Roy ?

when I had covid it floored me for nearly 2 weeks, back in July

my cardio fitness hasn’t recovered

I was a person who used to run in the City to Surf run in Sydney ( google it - 14 km fun run in Sydney, with some big hills in ) & was pretty physical & fit. Used to do it in 80 minutes

I still work a very physical job, but I get short of breath very easily now . . .

basically, my cardio fitness / lungs have been faarked ever since having covid

we know a few with long covid, as you say, it has long term effects. Pal of son, was a personal fitness trainer, and caught it very early on, from his clients, returning from ski-ing in the Alps.

3yrs on, still has days when he cannot do b-all. However, he found the energy to father 2 kids !

we were luck, both of us caught it, with no symptoms.

however, not sure there isn't going to be a mutation, that could be really bad, the Chinese certainly took isolation to the extreme, as they 'bred' it, they should know.

Oh shiitt

Sorry to hear that fella

Do you feel super-fatigued, after doing ⅝ of f**k all? Seems the most common report around here.

Try gentle swimming/aquarobics sort of stuff, it will bugger you but also help the lung function, simply due to messing with your breathing.
Mask and snorkel can help just provide that extra 300g of buoyancy

I have met a number of people with similar. To be honest, I don't think everyone appreciates how covid works and what it can do. It is all to easy to brush it off as the flu, which can do a number on you and leave you feeling weak for some time.
