Peas are new to me. Thought I’d try something for a change but probably shouldve just gone sfi. Never really bothered with basagran in beans but I guess peas tolerate competition less well? I believe you can mix mcpb if you are feeling brave. Good idea? Cut rates of both? Rain has stimulated another flush of weeds. Bindweed in particular. Anyone with experience please comment. Inclined to leave it but worried I might be facing a real mess at harvest. Oh and varietal restrictions?

Basagran (bentazone) should not be tank mixed with anything else really. Even oil will hot it up. What other weeds are you expecting?
Pgro said it was possible on their website. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I wondered if it was a case of half rate of both was better than either alone, like when spraying beet. I’ve used reduced rate basagran plus oil in beans before. Had 2 good stale seedbeds so disappointed to see so much rubbish.

I have done Bentazone on peas successfully before but generally much later on. If you've got a graminicide to apply, do that first, then sort the BLWs in a couple of weeks

This is good advice. As a rule, absolutely do not mix a graminicide with any broad leaved herbicide on any broadleaved crop as they can make them hotter than hades. If applying sequentially, leave a two week gap.

3litre MCPB with 1.5 Bentazone liquid is the usual post em treatment here if weeds good size or Plenty of them. Trim back a bit if small, say 5 to 7 cm.
