It was good to see where all my seed potatoes go. Huge difference in scale from the large growers of well over 1000ac of potatoes each to the small family farms that are still using buffalo and donkeys on their 3ac farm ( growing 1ac of spuds)Was there much to learn from the trip? (Be worried about)
How are your suppliers calling that one?10% of our sagitta seed has been cancelled today, not enough to go round apparently eventhough we ordered them in july
Good chance of realityDaily Mail today. Reality or Scaremongering.?

That's what happened a few years back, maybe 2012 or 2013, demand never fully recoveredLet’s be honest, with chipping prices around £500 ex farm, £16+ delivered into chip shops, portion sizes and consumption will drop, probably permanently.
Prices have been pretty stagnant, although high, for the last month or so.
There‘s probably adequate in store for the rest of the season without prices rising much higher, but if the supply gets tighter prices will rise further to curtail demand further, until balance is achieved.
The weather for getting 2024 crop planted may be the fly in the ointment.
