Yep they are sharp and tight up to the shear bar, the problem is how the bearing should be assembled and is not so is allowing grass into the back of it which in turn takes it outare the knives sharped level, if not then it isn't getting pulled up tight to the shearbar so has room for grass to catch and wrap.
Ten X were famous for it , I often seen the grass going on fire in thereHaving suffered the same problem with a TenX I doubt that the way the bearing is assembled is the problem.
Uneven knives or a worn shearbar is more likely to be the problem.
They never did it when they were new though, so the problem had to be wear or the way they were set.Ten X were famous for it , I often seen the grass going on fire in there
IT happened when the corner was worn off the knives at the bottom , so a bit of grass wasn't getting chopped and it wraps around the shaft. They never did it when they were new though, so the problem had to be wear or the way they were set.
That wasn't our problem. We took the knives off, got them milled level and it still did it. I'd say we needed shearbars.IT happened when the corner was worn off the knives at the bottom , so a bit of grass wasn't getting chopped and it wraps around the shaft.
