Got a couple of fields of spring barley, that a neighbour is interested in for whole crop.
Any ideas of a price per ton?

Little more than half that .I put it at £30 ton .you'd be better selling it as crimpdifficult to see how it'd work as (as said)....you'd be looking circa 300/ac for corn + straw....but divide that by freahweight and per tonne i suspect it'd be to expensive
It is worth what some one will pay for it .what's maize silage makingIt is worth thr expected yield of barley and stgraw minus the cost of combining.
Simple.

Certainly something to bear in mind when establishing a value and in an ideal world you'd want more than that but a poor crop or a low market value doesn't guarantee a higher price.Costs me £285 per acre to grow it.
