Friend told me yesterday that a new daf lorry is down 11k and that hes noticed second hand diggers are back in price. Any1 else heard or noticed this?
This must be the first step though. They are clearly not shifting as much stuff judging by the number of special finance offers popping up on lots of dealer Facebook posts. One of our local JD dealers was desperate to sell us a combine to meet their target a couple of months ago and they managed to do neither. If these finance deals aren't working then next step will be price reductions.I've seen no evidence of this in agriculture. Just better terms/finance on new, used machinery.
Agree just got quotes on machinery and it’s not coming back if anything up but there still getting orders!I've seen no evidence of this in agriculture. Just better terms/finance on new, used machinery.
Used had to come down as the interest was leaving it unworkableThe biggest problem is the arse has fallen out of the trade for decent used ones and the new hasn't dropped yet, just more incentives such as 0% and extended warranties. It means at the moment the cost to change is massive, with depreciation on a potential new one looking fairly awful going by what the 18 month- 3 year old stuff is doing.
You only have to look on here people saying how little depreciation there is on a FendtAgree just got quotes on machinery and it’s not coming back if anything up but there still getting orders!
Please tell me where??, finance only available on 45/50% rrp, far better terms were available 3 years ago.I've seen no evidence of this in agriculture. Just better terms/finance on new, used machinery.
The new Jd harvestors are getting a poor name around here in the last 2 years , I know a class man who switched to Jd , but after one season he has gone back to class , he says the class is far better and far easier on diesel, there was another issue of the blades coming loose causing major blow ups , I know off two new harvestors who did this here beside us , some fault on the bolt system. Fresh secondhand Jd harvestors are very hard to sell here now . Krone are now selling very well too , it looks like Class and Krone will own the market soon.Mabe its coming, new jd spfh has 4 year warranty and 7 year on the engine. Must be problems gettin them sold as they wouldnt be offering that unless they had to, plus the engine in the smaller jd is pretty rubbish so mabe need to build confidence
