Prices coming down?

Yes, very nice, but not representative of 90% of Grand Seiko watches. This is probably in the top 5% of all automatic watches by price but there is a massive choice more expensive. This price would represent the lower end of Patek Phillipp and several other specialist, mainly Swiss and German brand watch prices. Such luxury brands with a reputation and exclusivity includes Vacheron Constantin, Patek of course, certain Rolex models. There’s a 2003 Patek Phillipp Grand Complication for sale now at just under €130,000 that would make a great gift for a loved one. Another, a Grand Master Chime 175th Commemorative Edition is for sale at a couple of quid short of £26 million. Another actually sold for £31.2 million [adjusted for inflation].

With watches from the top end brands you mention price is one thing but actually getting an allocation of one from an authorised dealer is something else altogether.
Rolex been very difficult last few years but may be easing slightly now. Patek still very elusive.

Prices need to come down further. £2500 for part to do the rear brakes on a 62 plate 210 auto command NH- Mental!

What are the manufacturers thinking making spares so expensive. Yes they make money on parts, but it drives people to look else where for better value when buying and when maintaining their machines. Or as I'm trying to do so, source equally as good spurious parts by sparex etc.

Also been looking for a older 270 to add to the fleet. 7000 hour machine at 50k plus vat they must be joking. There are some out there that don't realise they'll be losing customer confidence and faith and they'll never to return. Our local Case dealership is much like that. Can't be doing with their poor attitude and their prices were ludicrous before everything went to faeces.

Have you checked out any of the breakers for your parts?

Most dealers have yards full at present, when you drive past them
The bubble burst, now they have stock at higher prices than new factory orders! The interest charges some of the large ‘glass house’ dealers that you all seem to like is costing them 100s of thousands per annum. The hamster wheel has to keep turning to make the cycle work!

Tractor manufacturers rapidly turning into Tech companies, all trying to protect software, solutions etc etc, their argument is already that you are in effect purchasing a licence to use their software systems, you might in the future own the hardware, but not the stuff that controls it all.
Look after your old machines, you might want to use them again if the internet crashes with a few satellites.
Yeah i get all of that so no probs

cars are falling of a cliff right now

finance at 10% plus has killed the market

i bet farm machinery is no different - why would you buy anything right now unless you had no choice or a tax bill ?
The electric interest has fallen off a cliff .Was talking to a VW rep since government extended the ban on petrol and diesel cars .People just tell them I'll wait and can have another fuel car before then !

See new Holland are giving away a fancy workshop cabinet full of tools with every order made at Lamma.

They are certainly getting keener and offering more incentives, rather than reducing prices.

Eh? @An Gof
How would you -or Cowabunga- know about stuff like this?
(a more or less rhetorical question....unless you're thinking of embarking on a career change into street robbery)

I'm befuddled....I place no value on such stuff whatsoever.
I recognise the intense massively skilled Germanic mindset that creates such gizmos, but can't relate to the desire to buy or wear such a device
(I thought everyone knew the time from their phones now?)
I just don't get it.
Give me all the money in the world and I wouldn't want such a thing hung on my arm.

Must be the hill farmer in me....we look at the lighter patch in the clouds to tell the time.

edit...my record for wearing a wristwatch without breaking the strap/smashing the watch, is less than a week. Gave up decades ago.
