Protecting machinery

So with a lot of people having theft and numerous posts on Facebook with the usaul foreign people doing the rounds rooting round sheds etc, it makes me more worried not living on site only a short distance away, dad is there but you can soon get somthing away without to much noise going on! My question is how is everyone else protecting them selfs , it’s not possible for my to lock everything away in sheds so my key items that would be outside would be my tractor cattle box and flat bed both towable via truck etc and also a new prattly system so the 4 big ticket items as such. I haven’t done much research into it but is it possible to have trackers or chips on machinery that you could watch via an app? That’s not stupidly expensive you’d think by now there would be something around? I hope I’m wrong and someone tells me there is.
cheers will

Just had trackers fitted to three tractors and a forklift. Cost below £10 per unit per month now, cheaper if battery unit (for trailers etc).
Brilliant on three levels- security (finding if stolen), health and safety and day to day logistics.
