No I didn't know - I genuinely thought you meant what you wrote ! That you misunderstood how NI contributions worked, as you were unable to claim SSP, maybe because you didn't understand the difference between employed, self employed, partnership and Limited accounts - many people don't especially farming families as I explained very clearly above!

And why should a farming forum be exempt from being able to write basic English ? Don't get arsey because what you write gets taken at its face value. If you care about our heritage, as every Leave voter seems hell bent on telling me, that they want Britain to be Great again, then maybe having a bit more respect for our language, teaching it correctly, make an effort learning it and then bothering to apply it correctly would find a lot less miscommunication going on.
You may be good at everything, I am not, I tried to explain above sometimes I can't even make a word near enough right for the spell check to put it right for me and sometimes I can and as for getting ,'. in the right place then that is down to luck, sometimes I sit here and the word I want to use just will not come right and I have to use an alternative or read something to find that word
If this makes me thick and un worthy to come on a farming forum or have an opinion in a referendum then so be it
You obviously don't understand this so I will not bother you any more about it

Don't worry, she's busy furiously editing his post to make right all the errors she made, forgetting that most of us have the original on email. You make perfect sense at least 20% of the time which is about 10% more than most of us on here.

Edited.

I wrote this a while ago on the "I'm losing the plot" thread. I think it is worth repeating it here in light of the recent posts:-

As long as I can understand what is being said, I am happy. On a forum like this it is more important for people to be able to express their views, ask their questions, etc, than to worry about their grammar, punctuation and spelling.

There are times I have to read something a couple of times to make sure I understand because it is so badly written. As long as I get there in the end. If totally stuck, then post a question seeking clarification.

On my own posts I do see a difference between when I am using a full computer and when I am on the mobile phone. A lot more mistakes with the latter!

The classic line from Yes Minister about taking the minutes of meetings comes to mind:-

Don't write down what they said.
Don't write down what they think they said.
Write down what they would have said if they had thought about what they were saying!

I am sure that if we work out what a poster should have written if they had thought about it, then we are ok.

True. Posting on the iPad is a nightmare. Half the time I can't be bothered to correct stuff as it's too fiddly. As long as you get the point across....

Look, nothing was meant personally but if some on here feel it was, then that's their problem.

Go ahead and try and correct my post if that's what you feel able to do but it had enough punctuation for the average Joe to able to comprehend it quite adequately.

If anyone on here can quote a post of mine saying I know everything, then good for you - you're obviously an ace hacker and wasted farming. At least I know what I don't know - a quality pretty lacking in quite a few on here- and I don't make personal insults either !

Don't worry about it. It is a common tactic for those that run out of steam to accuse the people they debate with of thinking they know it all.
The attacks on @JP1 are rather unseemly too. Unwarranted and basically an attempt at bullying to shut someone up. Not good.

Here's a cameo from Steve McLaren which mirrors I would say the thinking of BoJo in the aftermath of the vote. Mixture of denial and bravado until the inevitable happens

The person doing it appears to have a history of it.

My guess would be that we will stay in the single market as an EEA member. We will still have to pay a fee which will be less than full membership. We will still have free movement which will annoy the Hitlers out there but I'm not fussed about that. We will have an emergency immigration brake though. Yes, we will have to abide by some of their rules in order to trade. So not so much will change although we will be free to trade outside of the EU as we see fit without their tariffs and poor negotiating.

'The objective of the EEA Agreement is to create a homogenous European Economic Area. All relevant EU legislation in the field of the Single Market is integrated into the EEA Agreement so that it applies throughout the whole of the EEA, ensuring uniform application of laws relating to the Single Market.'

What it doesn't cover

'The EEA Agreement does not cover the following EU policies: common agriculture and fisheries policies (although the EEA Agreement contains provisions on trade in agricultural and fish products); customs union; common trade policy; common foreign and security policy; justice and home affairs (the EEA EFTA States are however part of the Schengen area); direct and indirect taxation; or economic and monetary union'.
