Just bought myself a bale probe from martin lishman.
what readings should i be getting for
straw
hay
haylage
silage.
wheat straw i have tryed varies between 8.4-12

I only use ours for straw. 20 per cent or under I go for it.

hay and straw keep well if 16 per cent and below
