Looking at a John Deere X748 diesel mower with a PTO Grass Collection System (mcs 560c). How affective are these at lifting heavy grass vs a Kubota g23 with a through the centre chute? The machine is well priced but afraid she won’t handle the often damp irish grass.

That is a wiedermann based unit and is the dogs nuts in terms of grass collection. JD have been using that system for 20 + years with all the professional contractors and golf courses being customers.

I rebuilt a hopper last autumn for a man with 3 older 455 and he won;t part with them for love or money..................................

Glad to hear it’s good. I had a fear that it wouldn’t lift the grass cleanly etc.
