Pvc window fitting advice

Having some windows fitted in an extension and not at all happy with just a foam fixing that seems a soft foam too. Can pull it out with your finger....not a solid job. Wanting to get the guy to put strap fixings in. Wonder if anyone has a good knowledge of window fitting

The windows should be 5mm smaller than opening alround ,depending on window size and what there is to fix too,4 or 6 fixings per window.then foam all the way round to hold the window tight and insulate ,cut of foam and silicone around

That's my take on it that a strip fix should be used in this situation as the windows are sitting in line with the cavity. Things got a bit heated and awkward today when I discussed it...basically telling the fitter they weren't at all fitted securely and there's movement. I could put one out in a few seconds I'd say if I needed too. Difficult situation a farmer telling a fitter within years and years of experience that they're not fitted at all well. I couldn't ask to see his foam because I had asked if it's frame fixing foam...as there's a difference between that and just expanding foam.

This might be a daft idea, but if you can safely push one of them out in the morning without damaging it or putting too much effort in, you’ll have proved your point.
I think it's a great idea....the soft foam is just sitting mainly against the insulation that's in the cavity...i recon one to two yank's I'll have it out

Always amused me that you need a "certificate" to fit windows and doors (or pay a fee to building control, so they come and check) when the only tools in a window fitters box are expanding foam and silicon

So is there no fixings at all Other than foam? No timber wedges and screwed through? Is the extension finished or are the installers just first fixing and you have to render the exterior and plaster the reveals? Some pics might help
