Questions about yield for a school project

Hello there!

I want to say as an intro that I am a complete beginner about farming/cropping and that what i will write may be super wrong :p

I am currently doing a project for school and in order to verify my assumption about some vegetables yield I wanted to ask you if the numbers I found are actually possible.

Type of VegetablesSpace required per Plant in centimes/ squaredNumber of unit produced per plant#of day required to grow#number of harvest per season
Broccoli201602
Radishes201302
Carrots51302
Cauliflower151602
Potatoes1551001
Spinach101102
Tomatoes2015502
Cucumber301602
Beans4025502

Then by analysing how much space is available where we have to do the project and the average weight of each vegetables I computed a number of possible seasonal outcome.

Cold please someone tell me If my assumption are correct and in a good order of magnitude or if those number are completely wrong ?

Thank you very much, have a nice day !

Figures seem to be totally out of synch, a radish takes up far less space than a cauliflower or broccoli, doubt a carrot will grow to maturity in 30 days. As said earlier look at Moles seeds website

Here you go - for Southern England, different if you live in a hot country, don't bother with outdoor tomatoes, cucumbers, French beans if you have the misfortune to live in Scotland:

On a slightly different subject @teegee , you’ve found some information that most would presume to be correct. Well done for questioning that and having the forethought to find a forum of knowledgeable people to verify the information.

It’s seems to be incorrect according to the members here so you’ll get the right figures and hopefully be a step or two ahead of those that found info and just presumed it was right.

Good work, can’t fault you. (y)(y)
