This brings back memories. As a lad, our neighbour's husband was an ex miner who'd suffered an industrial accident and spent his early semi retirement poaching Salmon on a semi-professional basis. Among his many money making ventures was raising rabbits in his garden shed and selling them into the pharmaceutical industry. Doubt you'd still be allowed to do this nowadays but I think they actually paid quite well.
