Can anyone tell me what I should be charged to put some rabbit netting up ? About 200 meters. Also are people switching over to metal posts instead of wooden ones ?

Depends, spec of materials, spec of wire, guessing it’s dug in, good access for machinery?
Cheapest timber and standard wire dug in won’t be any less than £5.50 a metre I would think for the job

I got about 800m of simple rabbit netting pegged into the ground, no barb or top wire, for about about £4/m in 2019. It was for a small woodland plantation, so only really needs to be rabbit proof for 5-7 years to let the trees get away then it'll be dismantled. I'd spec it up for ag or horticulture.

I bought a roll of Tornado rabbit netting last month for the wife's chicken run and nearly fell over when the bill landed in.

You did well with that price. I doubt if you could buy the materials for that now.
Wire has gone through the roof.

Thanks for your replies, yes it’s a new fence and it needs to be dug in. Are people starting to use metal posts ? I’m looking for a good job that will last, not one that needs replacing in a few years as the posts have rotted away.

They don't last a very long time because the wire is so thin and in contact with the ground. Don't cheap out on the wire, it needs to have a good dose of galv on it.
