Raising top sheet on barn roof

Have a cattle shed with a round barn roof. I need to raise the top sheet to improve airflow through the building as the cattle as sweating.

Has anyone raised the entire top row before and know the best way to do it?

ive seen it done on an apex roof, they just put a 6x1 timber between the sheets before bolting down .

I need to have an air gap on the sides to vent the shed. Currently have individual raised sheets done in the manner you say, but it does not provide sufficient airflow.

I need around 300mm gap.

Wouldnt it be easier to vent the top of the sides of the shed, lifting sheets on a dutch barn isnt going to be easy.

I don’t think you can do too much with a Dutch barn roof as the sheets are part of the structure of the building hence why the trusses are so light. As above I’d work on the gables.

Just cut holes in it, much quicker
