We have one on our Polaris Ranger and looking at your picture I would say no but would be very close! I would take the rear bar thing off looks pretty pointless

I think the ATV/RTV Rappa unit needs redesigning. It's heavy, awkward and needs modernising. It's wrecked the rear rack on a couple of our bikes and in my opinion doesn't need to be so darned heavy for picking up 3 rolls of polywire. Please could someone design something lighter and better that's easily swapped between machines. End rant.

Don't forget some people still live in the victorian age and use 3 reels of steel wire... Try lifting the utv one on and off at chest height makes the atv one look easy!

Thanks @HappyShep76

How do you get on with it on the Gator? Do you drive along and drop posts out as your going and then walk back and put them in the ground?
I tend to knock in the metal straining post and tension the wire to get the line I want. I usually then just carry an armful of stakes (maybe 18 or 20) and walk them out. I do that between each tensioning post and that way when I get to the end it’s all finished. I tried dropping the stakes as I go but I either drop too many out or not enough.
We used to have another rappa attachment on a trailer behind the quad. It worked fine but not a patch on the Gator mounted one. I find it much quicker to be honest and it’s surprising how much fencing gear you can get in the back.
I hope you get on as well with yours

We have been putting posts out with the gator and using the hotline geared reels.
Find driving at 7mpg and putting a post out every 10 seconds gives the right spacing.
Hopefully going to order rappa this week ??

We also had a basket made for the front of ours. It just slides into the bit where you can put the tow ball on the front. It saves the wire reels getting damaged etc. It’s big enough to fit a good sized ewe in too which is handy for me as I struggle to lift big ones into the back. They lay very still once you slot them in!

The only issue I have had with my winder are the grub screws holding the clutch pads onto the shafts kept moving. In the end I got some round tube and put it between the clutches and chain sprockets, two years later still works a treat. Keep it clean and oiled etc and when it's in the winding up position don't drive more than walking pace. If you are winding up two reels that are different sizes have the reel with the least wire on squeezed up really tight and the spring holding the fuller reel only half tight give or take, same applies to 3 reels of different sizes.
