Personally I like to do about 8 lots of 10 a day if I get time otherwise I do 3 lots of 30 I think little and often is more economical for fuel and gives a consistent through the day chop quality ....
Hello again, the stone has now worn down to the point it is now around 3 1/2 inch’s tall. When I now lift the stone up and un lock it, I move it down so it’s just above the knives as normal however with it being this short I can’t get it tight in the carrier, I’ve moved the 3 rubber rings so there at the bottom and all the metal rings are above to see if this helps but doesn’t get it tight enough still? If I tighten the top piece too tight the rubber ring pops out and it all comes loose again. The only thing I can think of is that it’s too worn and time for a new one? Cheers
You need another half worn out stone to put above it to keep everything tight!
If you don't have one, get a new one and keep that one for next time, you shouldn't move the rubber rings around really if it won't clamp with them how they're supposed to be it'll never clamp...
