Recommend me a decent colour printer/scanner with reasonable refill costs--or doesn't this exist?

Working from home with the computer at present but have to get to the office to print anything, need a decent printer at home.

The 3750 Eco tank I have fault less ink cost negligible. Flat tray paper feed, multi page scanning, even came out good on the gadget show (I think).

Well, all I can safely say is our ET 4700 is crap.

The support for the paper is a touch too narrow, and the paper ends up curling slightly then it jams on occasion as it runs through.
Then it's a PITA to try and unjam as there is a little flap to try and get through the front under the digital panel - which puts you in very close proximity to the banded cable, which if you damage it will screw up the printer.

Yes the ink is cheaper and also cleaner, but there are better printers for the money imho.

Don't think you will go too far astray with a Brother Laser . Contact "printerbase " 0800 170 7234 - they very often have some good offers and cashback deals on . decent people to deal with too . I think "printerworld "are similar , but I have no actual knowledge of them .

Anything Brother.

Years of f**king about with Epson including a 9-month-old Mid-range thing that was lobbed it's all Brother Laser and Thermal here.

One small issue where the Thermal loses its connection and is a pig to reconnect they're the best thing I've bought.

Non-OE Ink from the place based in Crewe , I forget their name works a treat.

Have a look on here, we haven't bought a printer for over 15 years, they keep sending us new ones .....

Ask for Mark on 01458 272 727 and tell him that Ian @ 021 recommended him, you wont go far wrong...

This might suit you ?

3750 is a flat tray under the printed sheet outlet.

That is a better design vs ours. The 4700 is this - and to clear a paper jam, you lift up the control panel, and there is a very narrow flap to pull down to get the paper out. But, you basically cannot touch anything inside the printer whilst trying to clear the jam

Poorly thougt through imho, as the slot to get into clear the jam isn't very accomodating - and if you have fat fingers and large hands, good luck not touching anything inside
