Recommend me good work boots.

Evening all

this fine spell of weather forced me to ditch the flexothanes for a wee while, and if it continues the wellies won't be long in being shed.
My trusty pair of John Bull lace up boots from NZ 7 years ago have given up the ghost so looking for a new pair of work boots.

Whats your recommendations? Slip on or lace up? Safety toecap please but light enough to wear all day and to run after ewes/lambs/cows etc.

Slip ons get loose and you end up clumping around - dickies used to be good but now just fall apart - never heard of redbacks must try some - trainers make your feet pong.

You won't say that after trying some redbacks! Get a good fit, if you are mail ordering it may be a good idea to buy two pair and send one set back, do not be tempted to keep an iffy fitting pair.

Red back toe caps are good and comfy too.

Buckler Buckshot.
Slip on, but hold their shape very well. I've just replaced my 4 year old ones with the same, lasted twice as long as boots normally do for me.
And if you do any workshop stuff on your knees, and normally tear out the toecaps, these have the sole rubber come up over the toes to protect the leather.

Never seen redbacks around here. From someone that'll go through a few sets of boots every year, the only ones so far too last the pace have been timberlands. Most comfortable by far too.

Buckler buckbootz here, best work boot I've ever had especially if you're going to be paddling round in muck for some of the day. They're very popular with livestock farmers around here
