Think they have done a rather tidy job of this - half the price of a new one

Looks a good job. The only thing I would worry about is the guttler setup in the damp.

Do you mind me asking what width and roughly how much? Or you could tell me how much a new one is;)

750a has proven itself rather well in the wet and high trash situations so I have options - this eco- drill will establish cover crops, OSR (at wide row and banded MAP) and WW after oats this autumn, the rest will be done with the 750a

as for cost this and my 750a with total width of 13m ties up less capital than our old 6m vaddy rapid did new ! ;)

Hope you folded it up before you drove into the shed:p or maybe next weeks photo caption for the photo of it afterwards

that's in Dales yard - doesn't get here until next week

it is tall though !..............very tall !! Hopper holds 4t as well, amazing to think 200hp up front is apparently plenty

Judging by the photo (and the writing on the side of the hopper) I'd hazard a guess at it being a 9 metre version.

Have had the dale drill here before, like it & if we didn't have a lot of roots would strongly consider it. However, I think they underestimate the power requirement to direct drill on clay soils. 200HP is barely enough rather than plenty in my experience, unmoved soil, drilling a decent depth to ensure all seed is covered- 6930 was all up on an 8m. Flatlifted clay a couple of years ago, 7930 could put beans in no more than 4 inches. Good drill- needs the horses on heavy dirt, it is tines after all.

We are generally quite light here but do have a few good slopes etc

It will run on a Fendt 724 should should be plenty hp for 9m

you must have very smooth paddocks, even with individual coulter depth rams the wings would be digging in or in the air here. Recon they need outrigger wheels & a bit of wing flex. 9 meters is impressive. bags not changing drill points!!!

as for 200 hp, that weight of fert going up a hill will slow you down, what's the weight of the drill empty?
