Recycling an old snacker into a fencing bogie for the quad, wire roller to start with, also gonna be a spool for barb wire and a rack for a few posts and tools

Have you got a brake on the wire spool to stop it overrunning? I made one on a barrow out of a disk hub and it spins too freely. If you stop the wire keps spinning.

If it keeps turning it will only be 1 or 2 revolutions so easy enough to turn it back by hand, but you’ll need to either drive past end post or spool a couple of turns off before you cut it anyway
