Any experience with Red Angus cattle? We're looking for one or more red angus bulls and were wondering what the forum's views are on them. Also, who are the main breeders / herds? Thanks

Please get in touch and we can have a chat - we have one of the largest red herds in the UK now. You can have a look at some of our breeding in the Genus catalogue or Cogent under Mosshall as we have bulls standing in both studs at the moment.

We run 100 sim x and AA x alongside the 50 pedigree cows to red AA bulls. We have simmy x cows calving to red AA now and they come out a lovely red colour. If you look up this link you will see 2 bulls recently sold to Cogent http://www.cogentuk.com/bulls/signature-beef/

I posted a picture quite a few years ago now - may even have been on the old BFF.... He's long since gone, we've been purebred Sussex since then but can't seem to find many bulls and those we do find are too expensive
Father Titan and his son Eddard who was out of a black cow. Titan has been one of our best Bulls over the last 5 years had a couple of years on heifers with no calving problems and has been on cows ever since. Would have another without a doubt. Hope Titan goes on for a few years yet though.
