Now's your chance to try and influence things https://cutting-red-tape.cabinetoffice.gov.uk/agriculture/

I have written quite a long response to the survey only to find, at the 11th hour, that it doesn't apply to Scotland. How typical is that? What a load of idiots!

And as road tax is zero and no MOT needed for agricultural vehicle and insurance can be checked on a separate database, then why do we need to keep applying for road tax for these vehicles? Complete waste of time, but opportunity for a fine if you forget.

I have a 1956 VW Beetle that doesn't need either and I too have to re-apply for road tax, and I don't even get a little paper disc any more.....

Richard Lochhead released their response to Brian Pack's report on Red Tape at the Highland Show this year in which they say the Scottish Government will implement most of it.

I mentioned this to the civil servants I have to deal with last week who said of course it did not apply to them...
