Relieving pressure!

Anybody any ideas what I can use to relieve the pressure in the pipes when swapping third service attachents.I'm aware there should be a way on the machine but nothing seems to work so at present I have to crack a pipe open with spanners.did put some 3 way ball taps in the pipes that I could open to let a little drain out to release but they leaked after only a few hours so looking for another way?better taps?any ideas...

Have you tried stopping the engine then switching ignition back on and operating the control to release the pressure

This is what I do. It needs the ignition on to run the solenoid for the third service button on my loader, but with the engine off moving the loader control then releases the pressure in the pipes.

Yes tried that .no effect hence fitting the ball taps in the pipes.they were three way so connected the pipes when inline but when you moved the lever they let a little oil out to let the pressure go but they couldn't hold the pressure completely evidently so leaked after a few uses.

Jcb tm270.keep getting oily hands....where I release pressure every time by undoing a little often leaks as doesn't like being undone under pressure.

The TM 270 procedure is as I described above , ignition on , press button to release pressure.you may need to move a few times to dump accumulator pressure
Is the divertor switch for the hitch/third service the right way ?

I have seen the accumulator fail on a 536 and it caused the problem described

I have seen the accumulator fail on a 536 and it caused the problem described

Accumulator?not seen one on it ....has hyd headstock pins and a manual tap to lock those off as locking runs off the third service but not seen an accumulator anywhere...

On my latest 526 need engine running when you pull out the dump button to release pressure

theres a accumulator on the 310s' if its flat it wont dump pressure

I don't like the idea of undoing anything hydraulic with pressure involved.

Put the hydraulic locking pins in mid position, with no resistance on them. should then be able to connect/ disconnect with engine stopped.

2 options if it cant be sorted electrically one is a shunt between the two sides with a simple hand valve on it.
the second is using dowty type couplings which can be connected under pressure
