Renault 620 PTO problems

Good evening now for today's question/issue, I went to sow some fertiliser today and turned switch for PTO, the light illuminated and PTO was turning. After a while I noticed the light was flashing as the PTO stopped!!!! Which was a bit of a pain. I turned the switch as best I could and off I went again and OFF it went AGAIN!!!!!

Nursed it until I had emptied the sower and now I seek the pointers to sort this problem my thoughts immediately is then PTO switch which doesn't seem to be precise if you know what I mean it rotates quite a bit. Oil in rear checked and was up to level. Now when the PTO goes OFF the indicator light on the dash remains flashing! Any thoughts please.

If it’s owt like mf the stop buttons on rear wings can go faulty stopping pto randomly?

That could be an option as i did hit that button earlier today as well but I didn't know what it did as its worn just red in colour
