Renault clutch replacement

Is it usual to have pieces of square steel bar similar to a Keyway, about 50mm long inserted between the finger at its hinged end
and the cover of a new Luk repset clutch??

I assume they've dropped out in your picture??
Clutches often have transport packings or clamps. They drop off as the clutch is installed..

Yes sorry I missed to take a picture with them in place, I never saw them, and they didn’t try to fall out till I started the tractor. I just wondered if they were actually supposed to be there in the first place as there was no warning notice or sticker. Bit annoyed at having to do the job twice but fingers crossed that it sounds better today!!
