Renault Hydraulic Pump

I am looking for a hydraulic pump for a Renault 70 34PX, that is the one with the Perkins engine. The pump that is fitted at the moment is a Rexroth but there are no markings on the pump to say which model it is.
My local claas dealer is asking £380 plus Vat for one. Is there anywhere else I could get a new one as I do not want the bother of fitting a goosed secondhand one.

What's wrong with the existing pump? I only ask as I have Renault that seems very lethargic in the hydraulic dept and is starting to get bad to steer unless it has some revs on?

My problem is the same, it needs the beans to lift a bale of silage and the steering is heavy at times. As far as I now there is a similar pump fitted to some of the masseys and the life of the pump is about 2500 hours.

£380 is not a bad price for a new pump, I would just get it and fit it

Just for comparison, John Deere used to market a tractor based on the Renault Ceres range. An RT7700036351 hydraulic pump from John Deere is listed at £310.14. It's unlikely to fit your tractor as this has the DPS engine..
