Hi aangus

I do not know the company involved at all but the state of the market is not good.

In effect all Projects to be paid under ROC's were either in the system by 22/07 or they weren't getting in.

This I'm afraid currently leaves the Feed In Tariff as the payment mechanism and we already know that there are large reductions for standalone schemes imminent and with no pre-accreditation it's difficult to understand how investors would currently fund projects.

Contracts for Difference may be the saviour but with a cancelled auction in October and no other dates on the horizon it's difficult to know.

My advice sign nothing see what they're offering and keep any connection offers in your name.

Kind Regards

Mike Smith

a Do you know you can get a connection to a MAIN sub station.
b Do you have to go thru any neighbours land on the way to it.

Don't agree anything exclusive until you know you can have these and agree to costless terms before you sign.

b was our only let down , as they wouldn't have it going under their land even for payment , we have a substation that comes from a main but they wouldn't use it

Id also be sceptical about what they think is possible given the disarray of funding at the moment. I'm involved in three in Cumbria and they were on very strict timetables and I'm confident they wouldn't be taken forward if they were starting again in todays climate.

Hi Guys
Fully agree with David - If the 3 criteria of Planning Application, Grid Offer and Landowner Consent was not in place by midnight 22/07 then as things stand there is no guaranteed payment mechanism under ROC's and therefore difficult to understand the rationale.

Given todays climate if you were ever thinking of getting solar panels there's absolutely no other time than to do it right now.
