Generally speaking no, but you may claim I believe up to 30 % for agric use such as office etc and this may include repairs.
If the property is listed you may reclaim all I believe

if its the main farm house on a working farm I thought you could claim 70% of vat back, but don't turn round and tell the vat man its the family home when he comes to visit and you ve got to meet at the accountants office it plays both ways !

Sorry if I was wrong on the percentages.
However , do not forget if there is ever a chance of selling the house in the future you will get charged capitals gains on any profit you make proportional to the area you have judged is the working part.
So if you claim back 70 % you may find a hefty CGT Bill.
As your own domestic property you are entitled to 100% relief.
