Rentable value of a golf course

Asking for a relation. Anyone got an idea of what per acre a rent would be for a golf course ? Rough ball park figures would be fine ! We are not talking a St Andrews type of thing here ! Just a 9 hole local course ! Roughly 60 acres, thanks in advance

Surly it be based on historical gate fees obviously not the last 12mths but historical

Unfortunately not ! Just trying to get a relation's financial affairs sorted at the moment and they own some ground part of a golf course is on and it's never had a rent review for 20+ years

I used to rent out 40 acres to local council for a golf course.
They closed it down a few years ago and land is now grazed again, and not suitable for ploughing.
The rent latterly was about 6k, with index linked rent reviews every 5 years.

Golf courses are not very profitable, but you could ask for FBT rent as a minimum, otherwise it's a proportion of its profitability.

Check the lease the golf course has

in the 1950 I know one that had a long lease at a couple of £ an acre
