Hi
The small concrete yard at the back of our house is starting to loose its top, and is looking a bit untidy.
Whats the best product for putting a thin screed on.
Will sharp sand and cement do?, can work up to 20mm deep

I remember someone telling me about thin screens and chicken wire for strength...not sure on all the details. There are products to put over it designed for the job...cant direct you too them but seen them in magazines. ..all that stuff always looks expensive

I've screeded some horse stables that were terribly rough and pitted.

Pressure washed the concrete, then painted it with SBR.
Made up a screed with silver sand, I think about 3 or 4 to 1, with plenty of SBR in the mix.

It's stayed put even after horses clumping about on it for the past 3 years.
