Replacement grain drier

Following a fire I am looking for a replacement for my Opico drier ( not for this season ) I may have the possibility of a 10 year old Opico to look at which would be a direct like for like replacement.
My question is how to tell if the centre auger needs to be reflighted or changed ?

Thanks for any help.

Aten years old I would be surprised if it didn’t need a new auger unless it’s already been done. Not sure what the critical measurements are though but ?Morgans ? specialise in refurbish Opicos so could probably tell you. I would fit a new bottom bearing anyway, we used to run two machines and we fitted angular contact bearings and remote grease pipes which made them last much longer.

If you have a look in the bottom pan you should be able to see or at least get a hold of the main auger to get a feel for flight wear.
Ignore the very bottom bit though as it is much thicker than the rest of the auger.
Reflighted mine for first time last year at 22 years old.
If it’s gravity discharge one they wear a bit more where top section bolts onto rest of the auger.

Yeah
Reflighted mine 5 year ago when it arrived. When I go to see this one I was trying to figure out if anyone new what gas there should be. It may be very obvious of course when I see it.
