Replacement Patchwork antenna

My Patchwork Go is not working properly as it keeps loosing signal and seems to have me driving all over
Tried up dating software to latest version but still no better, so spoke to patchwork and they said it seemed like the antenna was faulty, but as mine was an older antenna it is around £700 instead of the new style ones which are £75.
Has anyone any other ideas what might be wrong with it or a cheaper supplier of an antenna

If it's losing signal give the connection between the cable and the receiver a good look mine came apart and caused similar problems. Got a replacement cable which has a quick fit connection and it's just as bad I ended up bodging up the old 1 to get it to work again.

has the cable been pinched in a door or window,or more likely loose connection in the plug, may just need taking apart and resoldering.

Sounds like the fault is inside the antenna ,what is the signal strength?on my advance it's 4 bars full signal,I have just bought an antenna off eBay for mine.
